Must-read Article
http://washblade.com/thelatest/thelatest.cfm?blog_id=12344#Days away from her seventh birthday, a little girl named Emma Rose is currently trapped in Georgia’s foster care system, unable to reunite with the woman who has been her mother for almost a year — all because the mother is a lesbian. This makes me about 100 kinds of upset. And I'm really already upset about Virginia Tech... so awful. I just cannot even imagine. It really hit me hard when I read this article on the BBC about all of the victims. One of them was a professor and a Holocaust survivor. He apparently saved a lot of students' lives. God. I'm crying.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6564075.stmOn a lighter note, last night Tracy and I watched Office Space, and it was amazing and hysterical and awesome.Love you all. Seriously.

I love you. *hugs*
I am a sociology major and intend on working in DFACS after i graduate. This report does suprise me because there are foster parents out there that are gay. I think what im trying to say is dont blame DFACS. It's the ignorance of the judge.
I would never blame DFACS. From what I got reading the article, the social worker totally approved of the girl living with a lesbian woman. I totally support social workers wholeheartedly - they have thankless jobs and really don't get paid enough OR thanked enough. So, thanks :D.
